iCal Splitter
Split large iCal (.ics) files so Google Calendar can import them.
Google Calendar imports only about 1,100 events per file. iCal Splitter cuts a bigger file into parts of 1,000 events that you import one by one. It's free, and it works entirely in your browser: your calendar is never uploaded anywhere.
How to import a large calendar into Google Calendar
- Choose your .ics file above, keep "Number of events per file" at 1000 and click "Split Calendar".
- The parts download as separate files: name_1.ics, name_2.ics and so on.
- In Google Calendar, open Settings, then "Import & export", and import each part on its own.
If the parts still fail, which can happen with your main calendar, split the file again with "Remove UID lines" ticked. Without UIDs, Google Calendar can't tell that an event is already there, so importing the same part twice adds every one of its events twice: keep track of the parts you have imported.
